Day 18 - Summary

Big Brother 8 has just stepped up in my books - the new guys are all great!

And Tracey certainly seems to agree. She was buzzing when the guys came in, and I reckon she particularly likes Brian. But don't we all?

So far I've seen him having a genuinely great time with pretty much all of the housemates. I mean he's already got naked for the twins! And he added a bit of genital flossing for entertainment!

So Ziggy and Channelle seem a little strained. Ziggy has been wondering out loud in the diary room if the age difference between them is a problem. On top of that, the arrival of the new guys and Channelles reaction to them has prompted him to ask her if he's 'her type' - to which she replied 'no'!!!

It gets worse!

The three young new arrivals have all said that Channelle is their favourite. Plus Channelle has been very clicky with Billi. Call it intuition, but I sense there may be some trouble to come...

Daily Charley rant: Theres actually not too much to complain about! I think the new arrivals have had a really good effect on her! She's even backed up her old 'no arguing policy'. The only problem is, that she's been name-dropping again...

She stood in front of Liam, Brian and Tracey in the garden this afternoon and reeled off a list of names of those she is apparently was 'in' with. This was met with awe from Brian, laughter from Liam, and blankness from Tracey. All in all I'd say she embarrassed herself...

The rest of the day was filled with fun - a YMCA routine from the new guys (which earnt them a luxury shopping budget) a foam fight, and thanks to a little improvisation from Carole (a few socks and some sewing) a bit of footy!

So the guys are settled and everything is going well... for now anyway...

Day 17 - New Housemates!

Ok so aside from the Shabnam eviction, all of the attention has been on the four new male arrivals into the Big Brother house. Heres what I got from their entry:

Billi

Age: 25
Occupation: Model
Hometown: Middlesborough

I don't have too much to say about this guy - he seemed pretty boring. Even his reception from the other housemates was a bit half-arsed. He apparently is a huge Wrestlemania fan and hasn't missed whatever big event Wrestlemania holds in fifteen years. Vain and competitive with a love for blonde hair, big tits, money and fame - basically he's a model. It will be interesting to see how the ladies get on with him...

Johnathon
Age: 49
Occupation: President of a Media Agency
Hometown: London

Now this fella was a little more interesting. Self-made millionaire who considers himself to be the luckiest 'fucker' on the planet (his words not mine). This guy clearly thinks he's the shit - and to be fair, he had an amazing effect on the housemates (if not the public). Seany actually called him 'sir'! However, his vanity went a little too far when he flicked his collars up and claimed that he was on Big Brother so that 8 million people could see his "wonderfulness". Other than that, his nickname is Beelzebub and his face lit up like a christmas tree when he met the twins - I definitely think he'll be interesting if nothing else...

Liam

Age: 22
Occupation: Tree Surgeon
Hometown: Durham

I thought Liam seemed like a good guy. He was a little arrogant, particularly when it came to talking about women, but I think that might have been talk for the camera more than anything. The best thing I noticed about him was his intolerance for bitching - maybe he could put a stop to some of the ladies' arguments? His reception by both the public and the house was very good, and being a good-looking guy and a ladies man, he might be at the centre of the action the public are waiting for!

Brian

Age: 19
Occupation: Data Entry Clerk
Hometown: Essex

A possible new favourite for me already! Brian seemed really fun, the self-confessed "ultimate party boy" who deals with boredom by making up friends. He was the first housemate to get naked just for show, and that was on his entry video, before he was even in the house! Both the housemates and the public loved him, so he looks like he'll have a great run in the house. Strangely, he and Charley appeared to already know each-other. Not only that, but when he realised that the crowds' "Get Charley Out!!!"'s were aimed at her, he advised her to calm down and stop rowing with people. If he manages to make Charley half the bitch she is at the moment, I'll vote for him all the way.

Anyway, I can't wait to see how the house adapts towards its new inhabitants. Leave a comment if you want to let us know your opinions of the new guys.

Day 17 - Shabnam has been evicted!

This is Big Brother. The first person to be evicted from the Big Brother house will be...

(Unnecessarily long pause)

Shabnam!

Well it was bound to happen. I think this one was set from the start. There wasn;t really much shock amongst the housemates either so I think they had their suspicions too.

Anyway, after a saying-goodbye period that lasted about three times as long as she was allowed, Shabnam stepped out of the Big Brother house into a crowd of boos. Then the nation watched and cringed as she tried to win the crowd over with her Michael Jackson impression, to no avail.

I personally felt quite sorry for Shabnam, because she wasn't a bad person or anything, she was just a little bit annoying.

Ah well, three down now, whos gonna be next?

*cough* vote Charley

Day 17 - Summary

Well not much to say about this - we only got half an hours worth of footage.

I suppose the big event was Shabnam being accused of thievery - twice. It started when Carole caught her red-handed after a leading a secret campaign for days trying to figure out who was taking it - proper SAS style. The whole thing wasn't really resolved as Carole once again calmly spoke over Shabnam and didn't listen to one single word before walking away. Whilst this was going on, Charley was sticking her nose in where it wasn't wanted...

Which brings me on to my daily Charley rant...

Another terrible day for her then, arguing constantly and never giving anyone a moments peace. During the argument between Shabs and Carole, she was adding her own little comments in-between sentences, all against Shabnam. Then after the argument, she was talking to Shabnam backing her up. Such a two-faced bitch. To make it worse, she did another U-turn when she suspected banana theft! Although that argument did have a lot of funny moments (the banana song, Seany's banana earrings), it also contained the most annoying 15 seconds of Big Brother (or maybe even television) EVER!!! It went something like:

"You're a bully!"
"You're a thief!"
"You're a bully!"
"You're a thief!"
"You're a bully!"
"You're a thief!"
"You're a bully!"
"You're a thief!"
"You're a bully!"
"You're a thief!"
"You're a bully!"
"You're a thief!"

I started eating my own arm in an attempt to distract myself from the arguing banshees. After this had all happened, Charley went to Big Brother and promised that she would not argue again. Hmmmm likely.

After all this excitement, Big Brother needed to do something to calm eeryone down a little. So they supplied a nice banquet filled with the nominees' favourite food and thankfully, the mood in the house changed.

Seany had a great day for me, as all he seemed to do was create fun all over the house. I think the more I see of him, the more I like him, and my doubts that I had about him when he first came into the house are now disappearing.

I can't imagine that Charley will be around much longer, as given the chance to nominate, I reckon that Ziggy, Channelle, Carole, Sam, Amanda, Gerry, Laura, Tracey, Nicky and Seany would all nominate her. In case you hadn't noticed, thats everybody.

As usual, leave a comment let me know what you think

Day 17 - More Men!!!

This is what those sex-starved women have been waiting for! Tonight, the house will be treated not only to ridding itself of Shabnam (lets face it, its bound to happen), but they will also be recieving four hunky (and hopefully heterosexual!) guys!

It's all a bit hushed up at the moment, but it has been revealed that the line-up will include a millionaire, a tree surgeon, a model who likes wrestling and a man who is into... cosmic ordering.

This should be interesting...

Day 16 - Summary

OK, not really an important day today - nothing about nominations, evictions, new people or shopping tasks. But still an interesting day...

The housemates had the task today of putting together their shopping list, value of which must be no more than £100 - a measlybudget due to the fact they failed yesterdays fish task. Instead of getting together as a group and sorting out a proper list of ood, they decided to split the money and have everybody spend £8 each. Clever stuff. I predict trouble. Although I had to laugh when Charley spent half of he money on cigarettes and then regretted it!

Which brings me nicely on to my daily Charley rant...

OK, firstly, she came out with a classic today - she claimed that when she is speaking with the group, she, "can't get a word in edgeways." I have never seen someone who is better at getting words in edgeways - she will just carry on talking through somebody like some sort of verbal juggernaut until the other person can't actually be arsed talking anymore. I noticed that she was bitching about Nicky again, and then hugging her when she was crying. She's sooo two-faced. I was quite amused when Gerry caused an awkward silence by saying, out of the blue, that Charley was showing off and attention seeking!

So Carole and Nicky have been on a popularity yo-yo today. One minute I'm thinking about how annoying they are, the next minute they have me laughing!

Carole started off badly for me by telling my precious little twins to go away rudely! I can't have anyone having a go at the twins! But then she sort of redeemed herself by rising above the fact that she was a little annoyed with the big water fight, and joined in the fun with a big ninja noise! It was funny to watch. However, she had also annoyed me by sitting on her arse, issuing orders like Jabba the Hut.

Nicky on the other hand started off by interfering with the cooking and then having a go at Carole for interfering! Hypocrite alert! Then she made me laugh by doing an impression of Fat Bastard and shoving a pork pie in Big Brothers face. But then she went back to her moody little self again and it was ruined. She just can't take criticism in the slightest.

Leave a comment to let me know what you think!

Day 15 - Summary

How great was that fish task?! Pure genius!

Well, I think I've had enough of Nicky now - I really hoped that she'd just cool down a bit but she's just annoying. I don't know why she feels she has to be the one who tells everybody off for eating, but it's making her really unpopular with the housemates, and I'm guessing the public too. Today she managed to get into a huge argument with Channelle over a piece of toast, and Charley for... well I'm not too sure what happened there, all I could hear was Charleys voice shouting in some sort of punctuation-less sentence that seemed to go on for hours.

Which brings me on nicely to my daily Charley rant...

Today, I think Charley was at her most annoying so far - and thats saying something. The argument she had with Nicky was essentially caused by her being offensive, but as usual trying to justify it by saying "I'm just being honest right!"

I could be honest with her, and tell her that she's a spoilt, deluded, argumentative, backstabbing bitch, but I don't think she'd appreciate it. She needs to learn to keep her over-sized mouth shut.

I think that what followed the argument with Nicky was possibly the most appalling tactic I've seen her use so far - she tried to be Nikki (the Big Brother 7 version :)) I couldn't believe my eyes/ears when I saw/heard what she did/said. She threw herself down on the chair with a scream, and started to rant on in a clear impersonation of everyones favourite little tantrum princess. Then she actually said "Who is she!?". That is just appalling tactics.

So back to the fish. That was laugh-out-loud TV it really was. Apart from my feeling very sorry for Sam and/or Amanda, I just thoroughly enjoyed watching them all get into the tin. Never in my life did I expect to turn on the television and see 12 people, dressed as Sardines, lying in dead fish in an enormous tin singing 'I Will Survive'. That came as a surprise. I think its a shame that they decided to quit so early on, mainly because its now going to be another week of Nicky telling people what not to eat.

I guessed right then - the bathroom is once again out-of-bounds. And I was right about certain housemates not taking it quite as lightly too - Tracey wasn't best pleased. Although in-between all the "Deal with it!"'s, she did make a fair point. But if we remember the amount of times Imogen blabbed about nominations last series, I think they should be grateful its only happened twice!

Anyway, more later, and as usual any comments are welcome!

Day 15 - Shabnam is bookies favourite

The bookies have put pretty overwhelming odds on Shabnam being Big Brother 8's first evictee.

The general bookies sheet looks something like this:

1/33 Shabnam

10/1 Carole

18/1 Tracey

Tracey it appears is the overall favourite to win.

The bets on who will win outright are roughly as follows:

5/1 Tracey

13/2 Gerry

7/1 Chanelle

8/1 Ziggy

10/1 Laura

11/1 Sam

12/1 Amanda

16/1 Carole

18/1 Seany

20/1 Nicky

50/1 Charley

80/1 Shabnam

6/4 Any Other (Not Listed)

Day 14 - Summary

GET CHARLEY OUT!!!

Dammit she's such a bitch!!! The first thing I see when I watch the show is Charley screaming at the alarm. The second thing I see is Charley starting an argument over cigarettes. Throughout the program, I see Charley bitching about Chanelle and having a go at Ziggy, each resulting in an argument among more than two of the other housemates. I was so disappointed not to see her big, fake, bitchy, naive, shit-stirring, warped bastarding face on that eviction list.

Fortunately, all is not lost.... Shabnam is up for eviction! Whey! Lets face it, she's probably gone this week. Carole maybe but I think it gonna be Shabs. The only way I see Shabnam staying this week is if the British public are evil enough to realise that keeping her in would be the worst thing they could do to her! But of course, that would mean they have to put up with her for another week, so highly unlikely.

So it looks like the bathroom is going to be out of bounds again - Gerrys been running off at the mouth talking about nominations. I somehow don't think that certain housemates will be quite as understanding this time around.

Sam and Amanda - how great are they? They're easily my favourites now that my former-favourite Emily has left the house. I find them really sweet in a naive and energetic sort of way, and they truly are the two least bitchy people in the entire house and the ones who moan the least. Plus, seeing as they are relatively quiet for a lot of the time, when they do say something its great! Like todays nominations, they were fantastic, especially when Amanda broke her bracelet!

Nicky - she's pretty annoying. She always says before she talks that she doesn't want to moan BUT, she doesn't want to sound bitchy BUT, she doesn't want to have a go BUT - she genuinely doesn't realise that she is a moaning bitch whos always having a go at people! I think if she just stops playing such a mature role in the house and decides to not give a shit, she'll be so much happier and the public will love her so much more, because she really as a lot of potential.

Chanelle has had another eventful day, crying, arguing, complaining to Big Brother. I find her diary room entries quite amusing but I think she needs to chill a bit sometimes. Perhaps its when she storms out of a room, perhaps its when she calls people a bitch without real reason, I don't know, but theres a point where you start to think that she's the one who's really causing the problem. I think the whole Chanelle and Zach thing (I really don't like calling him 'Ziggy', he's a grown man for fuck sake) is good for both of them, because he calms her down and she is a good outlet for his pent-up emotions. It will be interesting to see where that goes.

Anyway, more tomorrow. Don't forget to vote Shabnam, and as usual, feel free to leave a comment!

Day 14 - Nominations Confirmed

It has been confirmed, the nominations are in.

The people up for eviction this week are:

In alphabetical order ;)

Carole
Shabnam
Tracey

This is how it was revealed (supplied by the official Big Brother site):

"In alphabetical order: Carole..."

Carole smiled philosophically, as Laura looked shocked.

"...Shabnam..."

Shabnam gasped, but remained silent.

"...and Tracey," Big Brother intoned.

Tracey smiled enigmaticaly.

"I can't believe it's you!" an astonished Shabnam blurted. "I can believe it's me, but Carole...!"

"Don't say anything," Nicky moaned. "You'll make it worse."

"Let's enjoy all of our time together," an upbeat Charley suggested.

Remember, who goes YOU decide!

Well I can't say I'm surprised that Shabnam is up. She is one of those unbearable people who will not let you finish a sentence without guessing the end of it and interrupting you - usually incorrectly. On top of that, she's incredibly lazy and has totally the wrong attitude. I mean how shallow was that whole thing about wanting to leave but still wanting her 'deals'? I predict a Shabnam eviction this week...

Carole was not much of a shock either. She's OK at best, but she can be unbelievably annoying. She only ever complains about things like food and cleaning, and whenever the rest of the housemates try and get their heads together and solve the problem, she leaves the meeting in a big sulk like a petulant child! If for some strange reason it's not Shabs, then Carole will be the one evicted this week.

Tracey was a genuine shock to me! I mean she seems to have the ability to get on with everyone, she's fun to watch and she looks like she's fun for the other housemates to be with, but she's also mature enough to do her part and do it properly. I'm pretty sure that she's safe from eviction this week - have it!

I'll post more on this later, after the show has been aired, and feel free to leave comments

First Post

Ok, so I'm a little late in starting this. It's two weeks today since Big Brother 8 began and there have already been two people removed from the house and three people added.

I'm not going to write a HUGE first post to try and catch up with what I've missed, I'll just assume that you have been watching it and know whats going on.

From today, this blog will be updated daily - hope you enjoy it!
